"Crime and Punishment"

That is the house where F.M.Dostoevsky lived while writing Crime and Punishment novel, Kaznacheyskaya street had been called Malaya Meschanskaya then. On the front of this building the memorial plaque is set. The inscription says: Fyodor Mikhaylovich Dostoevsky lived in this building from 1864 till 1867. The novel "Crime and Punishment" was written here.

Grazhdanskaya Ulitsa, 19
 
The house where Raskolnikov lived on Dostoevsky's will (Grazhdanskaya street had been called Meschanskaya then). The building has both the memorial plaque and the monument to Dostoevsky. The inscription: Raskolnikov's House. The tragic fates of the people lived in this Petersburg's place served for Dostoevsky as the foundation of his ardent sermon of good for all the humanity.
